Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
