Emerging athlete getting ready for significant competition

This young athlete has impressive social media following

The young golfer will have plenty of well-known backers when she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in just three tournaments recently and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He told me to go out there, relax, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face several top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.

The young star boasts a massive following and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living label.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
