Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
