Players anticipating the launch of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined won't have to wait too much longer. An free-to-play demo version will release on January 7th, granting a generous taste into the game's initial chapters. Notably, any save data achieved within this demo can be imported directly into the main game upon its February release.

Beyond Just a Straightforward Remake: The Thorough Transformation

This title represents a ground-up reimagining of the seminal year 2000 role-playing game, first released as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. In a notable step away from recent Dragon Quest remakes, such as the recently launched HD-2D versions, this remake embraces a striking 3D aesthetic. • Expanded Job Mechanics: A brand new character role has been added for this remake. Additionally, characters now have the ability to take on a second job, significantly expanding customization depth.

Such changes are aimed at address one of the original title's most noted points of feedback: its daunting scope. The initial main quest could easily take over 100 hours to finish. The reimagined edition has been specifically designed to refine progression and cut down on any bloat.
